Unified Phase‐Field Framework for Antiferroelectric, Ferroelectric and Dielectric Phases: Application to HZO Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
HfxZr1−xO2${\rm Hf}_x{\rm Zr}_{1-x}{\rm O}_2$ offers CMOS‐compatible nanoscale ferroelectricity yet suffers from a high Ec${\rm E}_c$ demanding large operating voltages. A unified phase‐field framework spanning AFE/FE/DE phases shows how FE grains soften neighboring AFE grains over λ$\lambda$ ≈$\approx$ 22–37 nm.

Preferential Interfacial Engineering of Hydrogels via Interdigitated Nanoparticle Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Robust surface functionalization of hydrogel surfaces is performed via interdigitated metal nanoparticle assembly, inducing strong affinity with the hydrogel matrix. The partially exposed nanoparticle domains act as interfacial nanobridges that mediate both chemical and physical bonding with diverse materials, including small molecules, fluorous ...

Atypical Pronation of the Sub-Talar Joint: Its Implications on the Lower Limb.

open access: yes, 2017
Title Atypical Pronation of the Sub-Talar Joint: Its Implications on the Lower Limb Background Atypical pronation of the sub-talar joint, or overpronation of the foot, as it is more commonly known, is a current subtopic in foot and lower limb-related ...

Biomimetic Core–Shell Liposome Nanoparticles Deplete Lipoproteins and Enhance the Purity of Extracellular Vesicles from Human Blood

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Lipoprotein‐mimicking nanoparticles (SL‐NPs), comprising Fe3O4@SiO2 cores coated with liposomal bilayers, selectively capture lipoproteins through protein corona formation. The resulting SL‐NP‐lipoprotein complexes can be removed by low‐speed centrifugation, thereby enhancing the purity of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) isolated from human serum ...

The effects of running speed on pronation curve behavior during continuous treadmill running

open access: yes, 2009
This study investigated the pronation behaviors as a function of speed during continuous treadmill running. Pronation angle during the support phase was determined at two running speeds (normal training and fast) for 3 experienced runners. The fast speed
