In this paper we give a simple account of local computation of marginal probabilities for when the joint probability distribution is given in factored form and the sets of variables involved in the factors form a hypertree. Previous expositions of such local computation have emphasized conditional probability.

Clutter rejection is a key technique used by passive radars for target detection. Especially when using Single Frequency Network (SFN) configuration, the multipath clutter and ground clutter increase several times more than during a single illuminator ...

Simultaneous lithospheric-atmospheric signals of acoustic emission at “Karymshina” site in Kamchatka [PDF]
We present the results of complex lithospheric-atmospheric investigations of acoustic emission in a seismically active region (Kamchatka peninsula).

Propagators and topology [PDF]
Two popular perspectives on the non-perturbative domain of Yang-Mills theories are either in terms of the gluons themselves or in terms of collective gluonic excitations, i.e. topological excitations. If both views are correct, then they are only two different representations of the same underlying physics.

Influences of the state of ionospheric background on ionospheric heating effects
According to the well-performed ionospheric heating experiments at Arecibo in the low latitudes as well as at Tromsø in the high latitudes, the large-scale modification effects are simulated under an assumption of equivalent conditions, i.e., with the ...

Comparative Analysis of Starlight Occultation Data Processing
In order to improve the inversion accuracy of stellar occultation data and to provide a reference for the selection of inversion methods with higher accuracy in the future, this study compared and analyzed the inversion effects of two different methods ...

We construct an entire solution for an evolutionary Cauchy problem when the initial data is an entire vector of an appropriate operator in a Banach space. We give a sufficient condition for an entire domination. Our results are applied to some partial differential equations including the Dirac system.

Machine Learning-Based Estimation of foF2 and MUF(3000)F2 Using GNSS Ionospheric TEC Observations
This study developed machine learning models using different algorithms, including support vector machine (SVM), random forest (RF), and backpropagation neural network (BPNN), to estimate the critical frequency of the F2 layer (foF2) and the maximum ...
