Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

Modelling uncertainty for flash floods in coastal plains using adjoint methods [PDF]
This paper shows the application of adjoint sensitivity analysis to flash flood wave propagation in a river channel. The adjoint sensitivity analysis is used to assess flood hazard in a coastal area caused by river discharge.

Superluminal propagation of an optical pulse in a Doppler broadened three-state, single channel active Raman gain medium [PDF]
Using a single channel active Raman gain medium we show a $(220\pm 20)$ns advance time for an optical pulse of $\tau_{FWHM}=15.4 \mu$s propagating through a 10 cm medium, a lead time that is comparable to what was reported previously.

Voltage-Controllable Guided Propagation in Nematic Liquid Crystals
Voltage-controllable guided channels are formed in a planar nematic liquid crystals cell. The director of liquid crystals can be aligned by applying external voltage, which results in a difference of the refractive index between two adjacent channels ...

Propagation Measurements and Estimation of Channel Propagation Models in Urban Environment [PDF]
Wireless communication is a telecommunication technology, which enables wireless transmission between the portable devices to provide wireless access in all types of environments. In this research, the measurements and various empirical models are analysed and compared in order to find out a suitable propagation model to provide guidelines for cell ...
