To the problem of electromagnetic waves propagation in turbulent magnetized plasma slab
2011 XXXth URSI General Assembly and Scientific Symposium, 2011Second order statistical moment of the ordinary and extraordinary waves scattered by turbulent magnetized plasma slab with electron density and magnetic field fluctuations is analytically calculated applying the perturbation method. Numerical calculations are carried out for the anisotropic Gaussian fluctuation spectrum at different anisotropy factor ...

Solution of the direct problem of electromagnetic waves propagation in foams
2016 XXIst International Seminar/Workshop on Direct and Inverse Problems of Electromagnetic and Acoustic Wave Theory (DIPED), 2016Model of water foam presented from 7 layers with different dielectric characteristics for thickness 5, 10 and 15 mm. Calculations were made in microwave band of 8–12 GHz. Layers have value of foaming ratio from 6 till 350. The results of reflection and transmission characteristics show dependence from thickness of layers in range of 5–15 mm.

Coupled electromagnetic TE and TM wave propagation in a nonlinear plane layer is considered. Nonlinearity inside the layer is described by Kerr law. Physical problem is reduced to a nonlinear two-parameter eigenvalue problem for a system of (nonlinear) ordinary differential equations.

Attempts at accurate prediction of scattering from large targets of small radar cross-section (RCS) using Maxwell's equations have exposed significant difficulties for all current numerical methods, including fast integral equation solvers in the frequency domain and finite-difference/-volume/- element schemes in the time domain.

On a Nonlinear Eigenvalue Problem Related to the Theory of Propagation of Electromagnetic Waves
Differential Equations, 2018The eigenvalue problem is studied for a quasilinear second-order ordinary differential equation on a closed interval with Dirichlets boundary conditions (the corresponding linear problem has an infinite number of negative and no positive eigenvalues).

Summary: Effective field method is applied for the calculation of the phase velocities and attenuation factors of plane monochromatic electromagnetic waves in a dielectric medium with an array of spherical inclusions. The results of calculation are investigated in a wide region of the volume concentrations of inclusions and frequencies of the exciting ...

Abstract This paper presents a mathematical model, an asymptotic theory and an appropriate numerical algorithm to study, in the scalar approximation, VLF point source field propagation problem within the non-uniform Earth-ionosphere waveguide. We have taken into account a 3D local ionospheric inhomogeneity over the ground of the solar terminator ...
