Antimalarial Potential of Synthetic Geraniol and Nerol Analogs

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Drug resistance is a major threat to malaria control; therefore, new drugs are required to combat this parasitosis. To accelerate drug development, the exploration of natural compounds or the repositioning of drugs already employed for other diseases is of particular interest.

Real‐Time Detection of Reduced Nitroreductase with a Reversible Fluorescent Probe

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 42, November 13, 2025.
The first reversible binding probe (rNTRp) is presented that selectively detects the nitroreductase enzyme's active, reduced form (red‐NTR) with a fluorescence turn‐on response. Contrary to the conventional reaction‐based probes known to date, which provide only static information on the accumulated enzyme activity at a given time, rNTRp allows ...

Synthesis and Polymerization of Thiophene‐Bearing 2‐Oxazolines and 2‐Oxazines

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, Volume 46, Issue 6, March 2025.
Thiophene‐bearing 2Ox and 2Ozi monomers are produced by utilizing the Witte and Seeliger method. The monomers are characterized by spectroscopic methods and x‐ray diffraction to resolve structural data and properties. Homopolymers synthesized using thiophene‐substituted monomers produced thermally stable products and glass transition temperature can be

Nickel‐Catalyzed O‐Arylation of N‐Protected Amino Alcohols with (Hetero)aryl Chlorides

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 10, February 17, 2025.
The first effective base metal‐catalyzed protocol for C−O cross‐coupling of primary, secondary, and tertiary alcohol‐containing N‐Boc protected amino alcohols with (hetero)aryl chlorides, affording access to new and useful N‐protected aryloxyamine compounds, is reported.

Straightforward Synthesis of 1‐aryloxy‐1,1‐difluoro‐3‐aminopropan‐2‐ols – Accessing Fluorinated Derivatives of Commercialized Beta‐Blockers

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 27, Issue 35, September 16, 2024.
An array of 1‐aryloxy‐1,1‐difluoro‐3‐aminopropan‐2‐ols were synthesized using iodohydroxylation of gem‐difluorinated allyl aryl ethers followed by epoxidation and ring‐opening with an amine in a one‐pot/two‐step fashion. This approach allows the synthesis of a set of gem‐difluorinated derivatives of commercialized beta‐blockers.

Evaluation of fresh state, rheological properties, and compressive strength performance of cementitious system with grinding aids

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 141, Issue 15, April 15, 2024.
Synergic Interaction of Amine Based GAs with PCE cement systems. Abstract Grinding aids (GA) affect the fresh and hardened state properties of cement systems in addition to the economic and ecological advantages they provide. Nevertheless, there is not enough information in the literature regarding the effect of GA utilization on the rheological ...
