Research on a Strategy for Prediction Methods of Submarine Self-Propulsion Hydrodynamic Performance

open access: yesApplied Sciences
To investigate the impact of different computational strategies on the self-propulsion hydrodynamic performance of a submarine model, a study was conducted using the RANS method, employing both the steady-state Moving Reference Frame (MRF) method and the

Acoustically propelled nanoshells

open access: yesNanoscale, 2016
Herein we report a new design for acoustic nanoswimmers, making use of a nanoshell geometry that was synthesized using a sphere template process. Such shell-shaped nanomotors display highly efficient acoustic propulsion on the nanoscale by converting energy from the ambient acoustic field into motion.

Numerical Method to Determine the Inception of Propeller Tip Vortex Cavitation Based on Bubble Dynamics

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Due to the scale effect, tip vortex cavitation (TVC) is the earliest type of cavitation that occurs on real ship propellers. As a result, experts in the ship field have been paying close attention to the accurate prediction of propeller TVC inception for
