Reviewing Member States’ Commitment to the European External Action Service. EPIN Working Paper No. 34, 20 November 2012 [PDF]
Based on interviews with diplomats from a representative cross-section of nine member states and members of the EEAS itself, the research findings of this EPIN Working Paper confirm long-standing traditions and member state perceptions of cooperation ...

Cohomological invariants and the classifying space for proper actions
We investigate two open questions in a cohomology theory relative to the family of finite subgroups. The problem of whether the \mathbb{F} -cohomological dimension is subadditive is reduced to extensions by groups of prime order. We show that every finitely generated regular branch group

Reduction principles for proper actions
Let $G$ be a Lie group acting properly on a smooth manifold $M$. If $M/G$ is connected, then we exhibit some simple and basic constructions for proper actions. In particular, we prove that the reduction principle in compact transformation groups holds for proper actions. As an application, we prove that a reduction principle holds for polar actions and

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Combination of universal spaces for proper actions
Given a group action on a simplicial complex such that each simplex stabiliser admits a cocompact model for its universal space for proper actions, we give conditions implying the existence of a cocompact model for the universal space for proper actions ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

THE AGENT'S ROLE IN THE CAUSATION OF ACTION: IS MICHAEL SMITH'S CAUSAL THEORY OF ACTION IN TROUBLE? [PDF]
The goal of this paper is to find out if Michael Smith's version of the causal theory of action is able to solve David Velleman's agency par excellence challenge.
