Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Chapter 8. Grammatical coordination of embodied action

open access: yes, 2020
This paper looks at the Estonian coordinating conjunction ja ‘and’ in video- recorded Pilates classes, focusing on the instructors’ practical problem of making the students perform proper movement sequences.

Proper-time method for unequal masses

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2021
The result of removing of heavy non-equal mass particles from the theory can be described, at low energy, by the effective action, which is a series in inverse-square powers of the mass.

A Symmetric Imprimitivity Theorem for Commuting Proper Actions [PDF]

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Mathematics, 2005
AbstractWe prove a symmetric imprimitivity theoremfor commuting proper actions of locally compact groups H and K on a C*-algebra.

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

Dressing actions on proper definite affine spheres [PDF]

open access: yesAsian Journal of Mathematics, 2017
We will first clarify the loop group formulations for both hyperbolic and elliptic definite affine spheres in R^3. Then we classify the rational elements with 3 poles or 6 poles in a real twisted loop group, and compute dressing actions of them on such surfaces. Some new examples with pictures will be produced at last.

PARK(ing) time–How park deficiency affects the biological clock in a Drosophila model of Parkinson's disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

A quasi chemical approach for the modeling of predator-prey interactions [PDF]

open access: yesNetwork Biology, 2014
We aim to develop the reaction diffusion equation for different types of mechanism of the predator-prey interactions with quasi chemical approach. The chemical reactions representing the interactions obey the mass action law.

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.
