Proper mappings and dimension [PDF]
In this note it is shown that if W is the long line and f is a proper mapping of WX [0, 1 ] into Y, then dim Y22. This answers a question raised by Isbell. The main result of this note is that if W is the long line and f is a proper mapping of WX [0, 1) into Y, then dim Y_2. This answers a question posed by Isbell [2, pp. 119-120]. The main result will

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

An Efficient Rescue System with Online Multi-Agent SLAM Framework
A novel and an efficient rescue system with a multi-agent simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) framework is proposed to reduce the rescue time while rescuing the people trapped inside a burning building.

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Proper holomorphic mappings [PDF]
This is a survey of some recent results on proper mappings \(f:\Omega \to D\) in the case where \(\Omega\), \(D\subset \subset {\mathbb{C}}^ n\) are bounded domains with smooth boundary. The main attention is given to the boundary smoothness of f and of the branch locus of f.

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.
