Recent measurements of top-quark properties at the LHC and at the Tevatron are presented. The results include precision measurements of standard model parameters, such as the top-quark mass, the measurement of angular distributions as well as the search ...

This chapter report the most recent experimental results on mechanical behaviour at high temperature of high-performance concretes. After a short introduction, Sect. 5.2 describes the main testing methods that were used in the analysed studies. Section 5.3 collects and compares the temperature-dependency of the compressive strength and modulus of ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Measurements of the sound velocities in a single crystal of FeSi were performed in the temperature range 4-300 K. Elastic constants $C_{12}$ and $C_{44}$ deviate from a quasiharmonic behavior at high temperature; whereas, $C_{12}$ increases anomalously ...

Generic properties of extensions [PDF]
Motivated by the classical results by Halmos and Rokhlin on the genericity of weakly but not strongly mixing transformations and the Furstenberg tower construction, we show that weakly but not strongly mixing extensions on a fixed product space with both

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...
