Photoproduction of mesons from nuclei - In-medium properties of hadrons
Recent experimental results for the in-medium properties of hadrons obtained with photoproduction of mesons from nuclei are discussed. The experiments were done with the TAPS detector at the tagged photon beam of the MAMI accelerator in Mainz.

Why Do Minoritized Students Deploy More Than One Language During a Physics Inquiry?
ABSTRACT We present a study that documented the participation of two high school Arab students in Israel in an extended (2‐year) authentic physics inquiry that took place in a regional program located in a Hebrew‐speaking kibbutz high school. The students' first language is Arabic, but they are fluent in Hebrew, and their inquiry was mentored by a ...

The Effect of Seductive Details on Knowledge Retention in Physics Videos: A Mixed Methods Study
ABSTRACT Research reports that interesting but irrelevant information, seductive details, in teaching material can impede learning. In science education, the inclusion of historical narratives in lessons to promote interest has been recommended but may hinder learning.

ABSTRACT The physics of heavy‐ion collisions is one of the most exciting and challenging directions of science for the last four decades. On the theoretical side one deals with a non‐abelian field theory, while on the experimental side today's largest accelerators are needed to enable these studies.

Performance of the ALICE secondary vertex b-tagging algorithm in p-Pb collisions
The hot and dense nuclear matter, that is produced in heavy-ion collisions, could be studied by jets originating from beauty quarks. In-medium energy loss of these quarks provides information on several properties of the quark-gluon plasma, produced in ...

Two Micron‐Size Dark Dimensions
Abstract Two extra dimensions of micron scale might simultaneously address the gauge and cosmological hierarchy problems. In this paper various observational bounds in scenarios with one and two large extra dimensions are examined, to see if they are compatible with the micron scale.

Composite and elementary natures of a1(1260) meson
We develop a practical method to analyze the mixing structure of hadrons consisting of two components of quark-composite and hadronic composite. As an example we investigate the properties of the axial vector meson a1(1260) and discuss its mixing ...

T-even TMDs for the spin-0 pseudo-scalar mesons upto twist-4 using light-front formalism
We have investigated the pseudo-scalar meson structure in the form of transverse momentum-dependent parton distribution functions (TMDs) in the light-front based holographic model and quark model.

Generalised parton distributions (GPDs) and transverse momentum dependent parton distributions (TMDs) describe complementary aspects of the three-dimensional structure of hadrons.

Improving on the PYTHIA modelling of equal-scale multi-parton distribution functions
Multi-parton distribution functions (mPDFs) are non-perturbative objects that are important in the prediction of multiple scattering rates at hadron colliders. In the case where the scales associated with all partons in the mPDF are the same, we have two
