Phase transitions in particle physics [PDF]
Phase transitions in a non-perturbative regime can be studied by ab initio Lattice Field Theory methods. The status and future research directions for LFT investigations of Quantum Chromo-Dynamics under extreme conditions are reviewed, including ...

We propose the Regge trajectory relations for the fully heavy pentaquark $${P}_{cc\overline{c}bb }$$ utilizing both diquark and triquark Regge trajectory relations.

χ c2 tensor meson transition form factors in the light front approach
We continue our work on the light-front formulation of quarkonium γ ∗ γ transition form factors, extending the formalism to J PC = 2++ tensor meson states.

A Review of the Australian MRI Linac Program: From Pie in the Sky to Research Milestone
ABSTRACT The Australian Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Linear Accelerator program (MRI linac) was a major research project that aimed to build and test a unique MRI linac prototype for cancer treatment. It aimed to improve radiotherapy anatomical targeting and explore physiological targeting. The purpose of this report is to summarise the development

Deciphering the Properties of Hot and Dense Matter with Hadron-hadron Correlations [PDF]
Two classes of jet correlations in hot and dense matter are explored. Correlations between very high transverse momentum hadrons within a jet sample the gluon density of the medium, where, the minimal modification on the same side as the trigger is consistent with the picture and parameters of partonic energy loss.

Radiative transitions of χ cJ → ψγ and χ bj → Υγ
In the framework of instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter equation, according to the J PC of quarkonia, we find that their wave functions all contain multiple partial waves, rather than pure waves.

Gravitational transition form factors of N → ∆ via QCD light-cone sum rules
We present the first direct calculation on the gravitational form factors (GFFs) of the N → ∆ transition using an analytic method, the QCD light-cone sum rules. The matrix element of the quark part of the energy momentum tensor current sandwiched between

Life, but Not as We Know It: Why Fine‐Tuning Arguments Fail
ABSTRACT Definitions of “life” and theories of life are systematically neglected in arguments for and from fine‐tuning. Despite claims to be neutral about the definition of “life,” fine‐tuning arguments generally presuppose that life requires a form of structural complexity only afforded by physicochemical complexity of the sort with which we are ...

A possible subthreshold pole in S 11 channel from πN Roy-Steiner equation analyses
The hyperbolic version of Roy-Steiner equation describing low energy πN scatterings, with larger analyticity domain in the complex s plane is solved. The numerical results on phase shifts of low partial waves are in agreement with that of Hoferichter et ...

Abstract Background Accurate range verification is crucial in hadrontherapy to fully exploit the ballistic advantages of charged particles and prevent damage to healthy tissues. Among the proposed approaches, prompt gamma imaging (PGI) has emerged as an effective technique for real‐time monitoring, but its performance is limited by the intense neutron ...
