The product of two chainable Kelley continua has the fupcon property

Topology and Its Applications, 2020
Given a family of metric continua \(\{X_{\alpha}:\alpha\in J\}\), the product \(X=\prod_{\alpha\in J}X_{\alpha}\) has the full projections imply connected open neighborhoods (fupcon) property if for each subcontinuum \(M\) of \(X\) such that \(\pi_{\alpha}(M)=X_{\alpha}\) for each \(\alpha\in J\) (\(\pi_{\alpha}\) is the \(\alpha\)th projection) and ...

Semi-Kelley continua

Colloquium Mathematicum, 2021
. We present an alternative definition to the property of being a semi-Kelley continuum. Using it we are able to extend some results in the literature and to obtain new ones.

Inverse limits and a property of J. L. Kelley. II

open access: yes, 2003
This paper is a continuation of the author's earlier paper [Bol. Soc. Mat. Mex., III. Ser. 8, 83-91 (2002; Zbl 1035.54006)]. A permutation on \(n\) elements is a function from \(\{1,2,\ldots,n\}\) onto \(\{1,2,\ldots,n\}\). \(S_n\) denotes the set of all permutations on \(n\) elements. To each permutation \(\sigma \in S_{n}\), a map \(f_{\sigma}\) from

Whitney map for hyperspaces of continua with the property of Kelley

JP journal of geometry and topology, 2004
The main purpose of this paper is to study the properties of continua with the property of Kelley which admit a Whitney map either for hyperspace C(X). In particular, it is proved that an arcwise connected continuum X with the property of Kelley admits a Whitney map for C(X) if and only if it is metrizable.
