Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Nonparametric Regression in Proportional Hazards Models
Summary: \textit{J. Fan} et al. [Ann. Stat. 25, No. 4, 1661--1690 (1997; Zbl 0890.62023)] considered two kinds of nonparametric estimators of the effects of the covariates in proportional hazards models. One of them has no parametric assumption on the baseline hazard function and is based on the integration of the estimated first order derivative of ...

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

A proportional hazards model of bank failure: an examination of its usefulness as an early warning tool [PDF]
An explanation of how a Cox proportional hazards model can be used to identify both failed and healthy banks with a high degree of accuracy using a relatively small set of publicly available data.Bank ...

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Survival analysis (or time-to-event analysis) deals with data where the outcome of interest is the length of time until the occurrence of an event. This type of analysis is unique because the event may not occur in all participants (known as censoring ...

Recovery of the Baseline Incidence Density in Censored Time-to-Event Analysis [PDF]
Time-to-event analyses are often concerned with the effects of explanatory factors on the underlying incidence density, but since there is no intrinsic interest in the form of the incidence density itself, a proportional hazards model is used. When part

Proportional Asymptotics of Piecewise Exponential Proportional Hazards Models
We study the flexible piecewise exponential model in a high dimensional setting where the number of covariates $p$ grows proportionally to the number of observations $n$ and under the hypothesis of random uncorrelated Gaussian designs. We prove rigorously that the optimal ridge penalized log-likelihood of the model converges in probability to the ...
