Proportional loading of thick-walled cylinders
International Journal of Pressure Vessels and Piping, 2005Abstract A generalized solution for small plastic deformation of thick-walled cylinders subjected to internal pressure and proportional axial loading is developed. The solution has been shown to reduce to the well-known Lame's elastic solution and Nadai's general plane strain solution under appropriate assumptions.

Sand deformation under proportional loading
Canadian Geotechnical Journal, 1986A fundamental experimental study of sand behaviour under low stress ratio proportional loading wherein all strain components are contractant is presented. Experimentally observed behaviour under stress conditions of the triaxial test led to a coherent framework for representing proportional loading stress–strain response.

Near-application testing of ceramics under proportional and non-proportional loading*
Materials Testing, 2006Abstract The use of ceramic materials in machine parts with multiaxial and non-proportional stresses requires near-application testing to gather parameters for proper strength and lifetime prediction and to reduce the costly testing of prototypes.

COMPARISON OF FATIGUE CRITERIA UNDER PROPORTIONAL AND NON-PROPORTIONAL MULTIAXIAL LOADING
Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 2018ABSTRACT Owing to their interesting mechanical behavior and their diversity, rubberlike materials are more and more used in the industry. Previous works (Poisson et al.) presented an important experimental investigation on the multiaxial fatigue of polychloroprene rubber, with both proportional and non-proportional combinations of tension and ...

A PATH‐INDEPENDENT PARAMETER FOR FATIGUE UNDER PROPORTIONAL AND NON‐PROPORTIONAL LOADING
Fatigue & Fracture of Engineering Materials & Structures, 1993Abstract— A path‐independent multiaxial fatigue damage criterion is proposed based on critical plane concepts: fatigue crack growth is controlled by the maximum shear strain, and an important secondary effect is due to the normal strain excursion over one reversal of the maximum shear strain.

Limit analysis considering initial constant loadings and proportional loadings
Computational Mechanics, 1994This paper deals with the limit analysis of rigid perefectly plastic body under the combined action of initial constant loadings and proportional loadings. Using the von Mises yielding condition and the finite element technique, we present an efficient algorithm based on the mathematical programming formula of the classical kinematic theorem of ...

A Loading Control Strategy for Electric Load Simulators Based on Proportional Resonant Control
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2018In order to effectively suppress surplus torque, realizing high precision loading, this paper applies proportional resonant (PR) control to the load torque control of electric load simulator (ELS), and analyzes and optimizes the stability and dynamic performance of ELS.

Criteria Evaluation for Fatigue Life Estimation under Proportional and Non-Proportional Loadings
Materials Science Forum, 2012The paper presents the fatigue criteria, representing the integral criteria, most frequently reported in literature. They were verified for uniaxial loadings and for combined: tension-compression with torsion both proportional and non-proportional.

2008
Fatigue fracture is a complex domain that manufacturers have always been intended to control in order to predict the life duration of structures. For this purpose, many criteria saw the day and each of them is based on a specific formulation. Palin Luc proposed an energetic criterion that takes into account the stress gradient, nature of applied load ...

Load Proportion Factors for Metal Railing Systems
Journal of Architectural Engineering, 2007Computer models of 20 metal railing systems were created and analyzed to determine the lateral distribution of load and the sharing of load between posts in a multispan rail system. Single rail, double rail, triple rail, and picket rail pipe railing systems with two and four continuous spans of 0.9144 m (36 in.), 1.2192 m (48 in.), 1.524 m (60 in.), or
