Microscale hydrogels (microgels) feature improved mass transport characteristics supportive of fast actuation and chemical tunability amenable to programmed stimuli response. A unique soft actuator architecture is realized by encapsulating microgels in soft microcirculatory systems which enable the convenient delivery of liquid stimuli for powering and

The possible importance of synchrotron/inverse Compton losses to explain fast mm-wave and hard X-ray emission of a solar event [PDF]
The solar burst of 21 May 1984, presented a number of unique features. The time profile consisted of seven major structures (seconds), with a turnover frequency of greater than or approximately 90 GHz, well correlated in time to hard X-ray emission. Each

Contact Lens with Moiré Patterns for High‐Precision Eye Tracking
This work presents a passive contact lens for high‐precision eye tracking, integrating a microscopic moiré grating label. The parallax‐induced shift of macroscopic moiré patterns enables angle measurement with 0.28° precision using a standard camera under ambient light.
