Workflow for Design of Experiments‐Based Modeling of Species Transport and Growth Kinetics in GaN Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

Apparent diameter and cell density of yeast strains with different ploidy

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Optical density at 600 nm (OD600) measurements are routinely and quickly taken to estimate cell density in cultivation and to track cell growth. The yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae is one of the microorganisms most used in industry, and the OD600 values ...

American Equal Protection and Global Convergence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Commentators have noted that equal protection doctrine is in a state of transformation. The nature of that transformation, however, is poorly understood. This Article offers a clearer view of the change underway.

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

PROPORTIONALITY AS A CONDITION OF SANCTION`S JUSTICE

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Law, 2017
The principle of proportionality is one of the fundamental legal principles defining the limits of state authority. The principle of proportionality, among other things, is the basis of legal responsibility and ensures the justice of the punishment being

The Principle of the Inadmissibility of Arbitrary Interference in Family Affairs

open access: yesСибирское юридическое обозрение, 2020
The article investigates one of the fundamental principles of family law aimed at clarifying the boundaries between legal and arbitrary interference of the state and third parties in the affairs of the family.

MOFs and COFs in Electronics: Bridging the Gap between Intrinsic Properties and Measured Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise for advanced electronics. However, discrepancies in reported electrical conductivities highlight the importance of measurement methodologies. This review explores intrinsic charge transport mechanisms and extrinsic factors influencing performance, and critically ...

Gradiometry and gravitomagnetic field detection [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
Gravitomagnetism was apparently first introduced into physics about 120 years ago when major developments in electrodynamics and the strong similarity between Coulomb's law of electricity and Newton's law of gravity led to the hypothesis that mass ...

Slight Truncation Changes in Iron Oxide Nanocubes Strongly Affect Their Magnetic Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Subtle variations in nanoparticle morphology can lead to significant changes in functional properties. An automated shape‐fitting method captures minor differences in corner truncation between iron oxide nanocubes of similar sizes synthesized under identical conditions, revealing pronounced disparities in their magnetic and hyperthermia behavior ...
