Conceptualizing, defining, and assessing pragmatic language impairment in clinical settings: A scoping review

open access: yesInfant and Child Development, Volume 31, Issue 6, November/December 2022., 2022
Abstract There has been significant and extensive knowledge production in the last four decades regarding pragmatic language impairment (PLI) in children with neurodevelopmental disorders. The evidence contained in this literature, however, is contradictory. The present scoping review (ScR) seeks to disentangle competing explanations of conceptualizing,

Direct Air Capture via Counter‐Current NaOH Absorption System: Evolution of pH for Subsequent Plasma‐Enhanced CO₂ Utilization

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
A direct air capture process using NaOH for CO2 capture within the BlueFire carbon cycle was investigated by analyzing the pH evolution. Key findings include a reproducible pH profile as a control parameter for a counter‐current column and the identification of an efficient absorption endpoint.

SEC‐SAXS/MC Ensemble Structural Studies of the Microtubule Binding Protein Cdt1 Show Monomeric, Folded‐Over Conformations

open access: yesCytoskeleton, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cdt1 is a mixed folded protein critical for DNA replication licensing and it also has a “moonlighting” role at the kinetochore via direct binding to microtubules and the Ndc80 complex. However, it is unknown how the structure and conformations of Cdt1 could allow it to participate in these multiple, unique sets of protein complexes.

Continuous Titration Based Method for Rapid In‐Solution Analysis of Non‐Covalent Interactions

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, EarlyView.
This work presents cSPRING, which combines Taylor dispersion with ratiometric fluorescence detection to measure binding affinities (Kd) in a single experiment. This in‐solution method reduces sample preparation time 8‐fold, requires only nanograms of protein, and provides results in under a minute, demonstrating efficiency for screening protein‐small ...
