Teaching and Teacher Education, 1991Abstract This contribution contains a report of a study into cognitions regarding the “good teaching” domain of 117 first- and third-year prospective teachers in primary education. As a research method the repertory grid was selected. From the data four main dimensions of respondents' cognitions were distinguished.
