Objective Chondrocytemetabolic dysfunction plays an important role in osteoarthritis (OA) development during aging and obesity. Protein posttranslational modifications (PTMs) have recently emerged as an important regulator of cellular metabolism. We aim to study one type of PTM, lysine malonylation (MaK), and its regulator sirtuin 5 (Sirt5) in OA ...

Gout and NLRP3 Inflammasome Biology
This review describes the three broad stages of acute inflammation in the context of gout: initiation, leucocyte mobilization, and self‐resolution. A typical case of a gout flare is presented. The role of the NLRP3 inflammasome in acute monosodium urate crystal–induced inflammation is reviewed in detail.

Objective Abnormalities in pain regulatory mechanisms are common in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). We investigated whether pain sensitization changes after treatment with a disease modifying anti‐rheumatic drug (DMARD) and explored associations between changes in pain sensitization and disease activity.

Deciphering the skeletal interoceptive circuitry to control bone homeostasis
This review introduces the skeletal interoceptive circuitry, covering the ascending signals from bone tissues to the brain (sensors), the central neural circuits that integrate this information and dispatch commands (CPU), and the descending pathways that regulate bone homeostasis (effectors).
