Antagonists of the Prostaglandin D2 Receptor CRTH2

Drug News & Perspectives, 2008
Prostaglandin D(2) (PGD(2)) is produced by mast cells, Th2 lymphocytes and dendritic cells and causes activation of Th2 lymphocytes, eosinophils and basophils through a high-affinity interaction with the G protein-coupled receptor chemoattractant homologous receptor expressed on Th2 cells (CRTH2, also known as DP(2)).

Prostaglandin receptors in the airways.

Ciba Foundation symposium, 1981
An analysis of the effects of some natural prostaglandins and of synthetic analogues with more selective actions points to the existence of several receptors for prostaglandins in the airways. Three effects have been studied: the contraction and relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle in vitro and the cough elicited by inhalation of prostaglandin ...

Prostaglandin Receptors Involved in Inflammatory Events

1997
Prostaglandin E2 is released at the site of an inflammatory response, but the consequences are not always easy to predict. This is because both pro- and anti-inflammatory actions of PGE2 can be demonstrated in different experimental models (1).

Regulation of Prostaglandin Receptors in Myocardial Ischemia

1995
Sarcolemmal membranes from pig hearts express a homogenous class of binding sites for [3H]PGE1. Competition binding studies with EP receptor suptype selective ligands suggest an EP3 receptor subtype. The GTP analogue GTP gamma S reduced affinity without changing binding capacity, indicating a G protein coupled EP3 receptor. Regional myocardial ischemia
