Distinct expression patterns of ER alpha and ER beta in normal human mammary gland [PDF]
AIM: Two oestrogen receptors (ERs) have been identified to date—the “classic” ERa and the more recently described ERb. Although much is known about ERa at the mRNA and protein levels, our knowledge of the expression and distribution of ERb protein is ...

Retinoic Acid Reprograms Mast Cells Toward a Proinflammatory State to Enhance Antitumor Immunity
Proinflammatory mast cells represent an MHC‐IIhigh, cytokine‐producing mast cell subset associated with improved survival and enhanced responses to anti‐PD‐1 therapy. Retinoic acid drives their polarization, enabling antigen uptake and presentation, and T cell recruitment and activation, collectively promoting adaptive anti‐tumor immunity.

LOCATION OF PROSTATE GLAND IN RELATION TO AGE IN CLINICALLY HEALTHY INTACT DOGS [PDF]

The importance to the genito-urinary surgeon of a due appreciation of the pathological changes underlying a sound system of therapeutics, of that portion of the urinary canal called the posterior or prostatic urethra, and surrounded by that composite body called the prostate gland, must be my apology for entering into a consideration of its minute ...

This study shows anti‐CEACAM5 CAR T‐cells are ineffective against colorectal cancer (CRC) because of CEACAM5 sequestration at intercellular junctions and the thick tumour cell glycocalyx. Enzymatic treatments of CRC cell monolayer/tissue section with trypsin or hyaluronidase restore CEACAM5 availability, enhance CAR T‐cell activation, increase ...

Androgens and prostate disease
A growing body of literature has established the anabolic benefi ts of testosterone (T) therapy in hypogonadal men. However, there remains a paucity of data regarding the risks of exogenous androgen use in older men and the potential for adverse effects ...
