Parasitic and phoretic mites (Arachnida, Acari) reported from insects (Arthropoda: Insecta) in Egypt [PDF]
Mites exploit various symbiotic associations with insects and other arthropods, mainly parasitism and phoresy. Faunistic information of parasitic and phoretic mites on insects in Egypt is reviewed.

Distribution pattern and driving factors of mite communities in karst cave ecosystems
Mites are abundant invertebrates in underground ecosystems, influenced by resource and environmental diversity, but the diversity of cave mites remains unclear. Through a survey of soil mites in three typical areas of light intensity in caves and their adjacent environments outside the caves, we found that although there are significant differences in ...

Intertidal infaunal community data are obtained via: (1) morphological identification of macroinvertebrates from sediment cores, (2) cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) DNA metabarcoding of the same pooled macroinvertebrate specimens, and (3) 18S ribosomal RNA (18S) DNA metabarcoding of benthic meiofauna from small volume sediment surface scrapes.

Commodity risk assessment of Petunia spp. and Calibrachoa spp. unrooted cuttings from Kenya
Abstract The European Commission requested the EFSA Panel on Plant Health to evaluate the probability of entry of pests (likelihood of pest freedom at entry), including both regulated and non‐regulated pests, associated with unrooted cuttings of the genera Petunia and Calibrachoa produced under physical isolation in Kenya. The relevance of any pest for
