Out‐of‐Plane Strain‐Decoupled Architecture for High‐Fill‐Factor Stretchable OLED Displays
A vertically decoupled multilayer SOLED architecture separates emissive pixel islands from deformable interconnects, allowing low‐modulus elastomeric layers to accommodate applied strain and suppress strain transfer to the OLED region. This design, combined with transparent hybrid encapsulation, enables a high fill factor (∼75%), stretchability ...

Biodegradable 3D‐Printable and Coatable Antifouling Composites for Marine Applications
Marine biofouling damages submerged surfaces and raises greenhouse gas emissions. Biodegradable antifouling biocomposites were developed by hot‐mixing beeswax, Tween 80, and calcium stearate or stearic acid. Adjusting the component ratio enables processing via hot‐pressing, 3D‐printing, or dip‐coating.

A geometry‐reconfigured additive manufacturing strategy converts planar printed soft materials into soft compact neural probes with integrated hydrogel electrodes and microfluidic channels. The resulting NeuroMAP platform enables scalable multichannel recording, localized chemical delivery, stable in vivo electrophysiological recording, and reduced ...

Description: Indium metal serves as a reversible calcium‐alloying negative electrode. By transitioning from planar electrodes to powders and (sub‐)micron indium particles, the specific surface area is increased, improving the areal capacity density and cycling stability for calcium‐based batteries.

Brain protection by anesthetic agents
Current Opinion in Anaesthesiology, 2006Patients at risk for perioperative stroke, or those who have suffered recent cerebral injury, may benefit from neuroprotective properties of anesthetic agents during surgery. This manuscript reviews recent clinical and experimental evidence for neuroprotective effects of common anesthetic agents, and presents potential mechanisms involved in anesthetic

International Joint Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems, 2004
In this paper, we present a new solution for the implementation of flexible protection mechanisms in the context of mobile agent systems, where security problems are currently a major issue. In our scheme, agents protect their code and data by carrying their own protection mechanisms.

SecMiLiA: An Approach in the Agent Protection
2009 International Conference on Availability, Reliability and Security, 2009Agent-based computing represents a promising paradigm for distributed computing. Unfortunately the lack of security is hindering the application of this paradigm in real world applications. The protection of malicious hosts is considered the most difficult security problem to solve in mobile agent systems. In this paper we provide a mechanism that aims

Nifedipine: A myocardial protective agent
The American Journal of Cardiology, 1979The effectiveness of the calcium antagonist nifedipine in preserving postischemic myocardial function and structural integrity was experimentally demonstrated in isolated rabbit hearts, in conscious dogs subjected to myocardial infarction, in open chest anesthetized dogs with normothermic regional ischemia induced for 1 to 2 hours and in dogs ...
