Retrospective clinical and molecular characterisation of patients with penile intraepithelial neoplasia

open access: yesBJU International, EarlyView.
Objectives To provide the first comprehensive molecular characterisation of penile intraepithelial neoplasia (PeIN) and to define the molecular alterations and clinical parameters associated with recurrence in order to enhance our ability to manage this disease.

Unlocking the power of immune checkpoint inhibitors: Targeting YAP1 reduces anti‐PD1 resistance in skin cutaneous melanoma

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Purpose Immune checkpoint inhibitors, such as antiPD1, revolutionized melanoma treatment. However, resistance and low response rates remain problems. Our goal was to pinpoint actionable biomarkers of resistance to anti‐PD1 treatment and verify therapeutic effectiveness in vivo.

Novel TEAD1 Inhibitor VT103 Enhances Dabrafenib Efficacy in BRAF V600E Mutated Lung Adenocarcinoma via Survivin Downregulation

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
We established a novel patient‐derived BRAF V600E‐mutated lung adenocarcinoma cell line and demonstrated that combining a novel TEAD1 inhibitor (VT103) with dabrafenib enhances therapeutic efficacy through survivin downregulation. Our tissue microarray analysis revealed a strong correlation between YAP1, TEAD1, and survivin expression in lung ...

Mechanistic Insights and Therapeutic Potentials of Ubiquitin‐Proteasome System in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Lung cancer development involves mechanisms like reduced EGFR/EGF ubiquitination driving cancer cell behaviors and immune evasion via loss of PD‐1/PD‐L1 ubiquitination. Balancing ubiquitination and deubiquitination may be a potential therapeutic strategy. ABSTRACT Non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains a leading cause of cancer mortality.

Tryptophan Suppresses FTH1‐Driven Ferritinophagy, a Key Correlate of Prognosis in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Intracellular tryptophan levels modulate selective autophagy of FTH1 via the NCOA4 pathway. This autophagic process then inhibits 6‐HMT synthesis, which then results in an increase in reactive oxygen species and ferroptosis. ABSTRACT Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains a lethal malignancy with limited therapeutic options.

Phosphatidic acid induces cytoskeletal rearrangements through the Src‐FAK‐RhoA/ROCK signaling pathway during decidualization

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Decidualization is the process by which human endometrial stromal cells undergo morphological and functional changes to prepare the uterus for embryo implantation and support pregnancy. Our study identifies the phosphatidic acid‐Src‐FAK‐RhoA/ROCK signaling pathway as a critical regulator of the cytoskeletal alterations required for this transformation.
