Hypomethylation of long interspersed nuclear element-1 (LINE-1) is closely related to certain cancers and concerns with aggressive tumor behavior. Previously, we reported LINE-1 open reading frame-1 (ORF1) protein level was significantly up-regulated in ovarian cancers compared with normal ovary.

Biosynthesis of the protein encoded by the c-met proto-oncogene.
The proto-oncogene c-met encodes a transmembrane protein with structural features of a growth factor receptor. We have previously shown that the c-met protein (c-Met) is a heterodimer of two disulphide linked chains of 50 kd (alpha) and 145 kd (beta).
