Proton–Proton and Proton–Antiproton Colliders

Reviews of Accelerator Science and Technology, 2014
In the last five decades, proton–proton and proton–antiproton colliders have been the most powerful tools for high energy physics investigations. They have also deeply catalyzed innovation in accelerator physics and technology. Among the large number of proposed colliders, only four have really succeeded in becoming operational: the ISR, the SppbarS ...

Theory of Scattering of Protons by Protons

Physical Review, 1936
The experiments of Tuve, Heydenburg and Hafstad and those of White are discussed by means of the standard theory of scattering in central fields. The theoretical formulas are presented in a form convenient for numerical computation and are supplemented by tables.

The Scattering of Protons by Protons [PDF]

open access: possiblePhysical Review, 1939
The cross section for scattering of protons by protons has been measured at angles from 15\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} to 45\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} for protons of energies 860, 1200, 1390, 2105 and 2392 kev. Observed scattering cross sections at 15\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} are close to Mott values for all energies.

When Is a Proton Not a Proton?

Chemistry - A European Journal, 1998
In spite of the large number of protonated complexes, their use in catalytic cycles has been little explored. The existing examples suggest that catalytic processes initiated by the protonation of a low-valent metal hold promise for the development of selective, efficient, and atom-economical addition reactions under very mild conditions, if the ...

Scattering of Protons by Protons

Physical Review, 1953
The data of Worthington, McGruer, and Findley (WMF) on scattering of protons by protons show an apparently real contribution to the cross section arising from scattering in the $p$ state. Results of phase shift analysis of these data are presented in Table I and in Fig. 1.

Proton-proton bremsstrahlung with polarized protons

2008
The asymmetry in proton-proton bremsstrahlung is given for a variety of kinematic conditions in the soft photon approximation. It is argued that the asymmetry may be more sensitive to the unknown higher-order terms than the cross section and is shown that several models giving similar cross sections give quite different asymmetries, which could thus be

The scattering of protons by protons and the meson field of the proton

Physica, 1948
Abstract New calculations are made on the scattering of protons by protons with several values of the potential energy of the proton, this energy being assumed to be the meson potential. The results of these calculations are compared with the available experimental material.

Proton Shuttles in CeO2/CeO2−δ Core–Shell Structure

ACS Energy Letters, 2019
We report a confined proton transportation in the CeO2/CeO2−δ core–shell structure to build up proton shuttles, leading to a super proton conductivity of 0.16 S cm–1 for the electrolyte and advance...

Mixed‐Conducting Perovskites as Cathode Materials for Protonic Ceramic Fuel Cells: Understanding the Trends in Proton Uptake

Advanced Functional Materials, 2018
The proton uptake of 18 compositions in the perovskite family (Ba,Sr,La)(Fe,Co,Zn,Y)O3‐δ, perovskites, which are potential cathode materials for protonic ceramic fuel cells (PCFCs), is investigated by thermogravimetry.
