Aryl‐Tethered Pendant Sterically Shielded Imidazoliums for Durable Anion Exchange Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An aryl‐tethered, sterically shielded imidazolium architecture protects cationic sites from hydroxide attack while avoiding vulnerable benzylic cation–polymer linkages. Incorporated into poly(arylimidazolium) membranes, this dual‐protection design enhances alkaline and oxidative durability and supports prolonged alkaline water electrolysis, offering a ...

Solvent‐Free Synthesis of Ultrabright Carbon Dots With Near‐Unity Quantum Yield for High‐Performance Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A rational, solvent‐free synthesis utilizing 2,6‐diaminonaphthalene produces ultrabright green‐emissive carbon dots. Regulated by a self‐limiting oxidative capping mechanism, excitons undergo ultrafast intra‐particle funneling from the nitrogen‐doped carbon core to emissive surface traps.
