Performance and instabilities of proton exchange membrane fuel cells
Russian Journal of Electrochemistry, 2006Performance of proton exchange fuel cells with different membrane and electrode assembly (MEA) is stutied. it is schown that MEA fabricated with catalyst plasma pulverization technology has the maximum performance. Some instabilities in the cell performance, observed with time, are probably due to periodic cathode flooding.

Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells
2012Abstract Proton-exchange membrane fuel cells are promising devices for a variety of energy-conversion technologies. However, they have limited market penetration due to their high cost, which stems from the need to balance durability, performance, and materials.

Thermodynamic modelling of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell
International Journal of Exergy, 2006This paper presents the thermodynamic modelling of a proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell at various operating conditions through energy and exergy analyses. In addition, the correlations and equations available in literature were used to determine thermodynamic irreversibilities in the PEM fuel cell at different operating conditions such as cell ...
