An integrated field-effect microdevice for monitoring membrane transport in Xenopus laevis oocytes via lateral proton diffusion. [PDF]
An integrated microdevice for measuring proton-dependent membrane activity at the surface of Xenopus laevis oocytes is presented. By establishing a stable contact between the oocyte vitelline membrane and an ion-sensitive field-effect (ISFET) sensor ...

Charge transport along proton wires [PDF]
Abstract Using density functional theory we look at the quantum mechanics of charge transport along water wires both with free ends and donor/acceptor terminated. With the intermediate geometries in the DFT iterations we can follow the charge transfer mechanism and also construct the energy landscape explicitly.

Sodium and proton transport in Mycoplasma gallisepticum [PDF]
When washed cells of Mycoplasma gallisepticum were incubated at 37 degrees C in 250 mM 22NaCl, the intracellular Na+ increased, and the K+ decreased. The addition of glucose to these Na+-loaded cells caused Na+ efflux and K+ uptake (both ions moving against concentration gradients).

High resolution measurements and modeling of auroral hydrogen emission line profiles [PDF]
Measurements in the visible wavelength range at high spectral resolution (1.3 A° ) have been made at Longyearbyen, Svalbard (15.8 E,78.2 N) during an interval of intense proton precipitation.
