ABSTRACT Purpose Pediatric central nervous system (CNS) tumors often recur despite multimodality therapy. Although re‐irradiation (re‐RT) has historically been limited by concerns for severe late toxicities, modern techniques have renewed interest in this approach. Proton therapy provides dosimetric advantages that may enable curative re‐treatment with

Protonolysis of a Ruthenium–Carbene Bond and Applications in Olefin Metathesis [PDF]
The synthesis of a ruthenium complex containing an N-heterocylic carbene (NHC) and a mesoionic carbene (MIC) is described wherein addition of a Brønsted acid results in protonolysis of the Ru–MIC bond to generate an extremely active metathesis catalyst ...

The leading proton effect in proton-proton collisions
Abstract The p spectrum data in the range s = 28 to s = 1995 are described with the triple Regge formula. The behaviour of the various couplings at small | t | is explored. It is found that the non-scaling terms, at s ≅ 400 GeV 2 remove the turnover expected if the triple pomeron vanishes at t = 0.

ABSTRACT Background This study investigated how neighborhood‐level social determinants of health (SDOH), including redlining and neurological risk, interact to influence cognitive outcomes in children treated for brain tumors (CTBT). Methods A retrospective chart review of 161 CTBT aged 5–17 was conducted.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)
