Molecular MIMO: From Theory to Prototype [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, 2016
In diffusion-based molecular communication, information transport is governed by diffusion through a fluid medium. The achievable data rates for these channels are very low compared to the radio-based communication system, since diffusion can be a slow process. To improve the data rate, a novel multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) design for molecular

Resurgent Supersymmetry and String Theory

open access: yes, 2015
We study a realization of accidental supersymmetry in type IIB string theory as a proof-of-principle of the mechanism and as a prototype of the strong sector present in resurgent supersymmetry, a warped UV-completion of natural supersymmetry.

Consistent 3D Quantum Gravity on Lens Spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We study non-perturbative quantization of 3d gravity with positive cosmological constant (de Sitter space being the prototype vacuum solution, whose Euclideanization of course gives the three sphere) on the background topology of lens space, which is a ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Successful generalization of conceptual knowledge after training to remember specific events

open access: yesFrontiers in Cognition
IntroductionCategorization involves grouping information to make inferences and support novel decisions. In the laboratory, category learning tasks commonly involve trial-and-error where participants are instructed to classify stimuli and learn through ...

The solution of the Sixth Hilbert Problem: the Ultimate Galilean Revolution [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
I argue for a full mathematisation of the physical theory, including its axioms, which must contain no physical primitives. In provocative words: "physics from no physics". Although this may seem an oxymoron, it is the royal road to keep complete logical

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Lembar Aktivitas Mahasiswa Materi Integral Jumlah Riemann Berdasarkan Teori Aksi, Proses, Objek, Skema (APOS)

open access: yesInovasi Matematika, 2021
This study produced a prototype of Riemann's number of teaching materials based on APOS theory. The student activity sheet (LAM) based on APOS theory was designed to help students understand the integral of the subject matter of Riemann quantities.

Knowledge representation for basic visual categories [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
This paper reports work on a model of machine learning which is based on the psychological theory of prototypical concepts. This theory is that concepts learnt naturally from interaction with the environment (basic categories) are not structured or ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).
