Manifolds in the Medial Premotor Cortex During Switching From Attending to Tapping to a Metronome
Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, Volume 1558, Issue 1, April 2026.Low‐dimensional manifolds emerged in neural populations of the medial premotor cortex of macaque monkeys while they performed an attend‐then‐synchronize tapping task with periodic visual stimuli. The neural dynamics followed an increasingly oscillatory trajectory from attending to tapping stages of the trial (left panel).
