Kinematic analysis and optimal design of a novel 3-PRR spherical parallel manipulator
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C: Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science, 2020This paper introduces a novel three degree-of-freedom spherical parallel manipulator with 3-PRR topology, where P and R denote a curved prismatic joint and a revolute joint, respectively.

Veterinary Microbiology, 1997
This paper reviews various diagnostic methods for the detection of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) virus or antibodies to PRRS virus reported during the period from 1991 to 1995. In addition, experience from a European Community Concerted Action and especially Danish experiences concerning serological tests are presented.

CDPK Activation in PRR Signaling
2017Calcium-dependent protein kinases undergo a rapid biochemical activation in response to an intracellular Ca increase induced by the PRR-dependent perception of a pathogen-related stimulus. Based on SDS gel resolution, the in-gel kinase assay allows the analysis of multiple in vivo protein samples in parallel, combining the advantage of protein ...

Experimental airborne transmission of PRRS virus
Veterinary Microbiology, 2004A series of three experiments, differing primarily in airflow volume, were performed to evaluate the likelihood of airborne transmission of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV) from infected to non-infected pigs. Pigs were housed in two units (unit A and unit B) located 1m apart and connected by pipes.

FORCE-UNCONSTRAINED POSES OF THE 3-PRR AND 4-PRR PLANAR PARALLEL MANIPULATORS
Transactions of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering, 2005Force-unconstrained (singular) poses of the 3-PRR planar parallel manipulator (PPM), where the underscore indicates the actuated joint, and the 4-PRR, a redundant PPM with an additional actuated branch, are presented. The solution of these problems is based upon concepts of reciprocal screw quantities and kinematic analysis.

Recent research into the role of the nuclear receptor protein PRR-γ in controlling imflammatory responses to the gut microflora might provide a molecular target for a diagnostic tool distinguishing ulcerative colitis (UC) from Crohn's disease. PRR-γ is known to counteract inflammation by blocking the NF-κB-mediated activation of transcription of ...

Genetic Variation in the PRRS Virus
1998Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) is characterized by late-term abortions and stillbirths in sows and respiratory difficulties in nursery pigs. The disease appeared in Europe and North America at approximately the same time between 1985 and 1990.
