Probability of Potential Model Pruning in Monte-Carlo Go
In this study, we tackled the reduction of computational complexity by pruning the igo game tree using the potential model based on the knowledge expression of igo. The potential model considers go stones as potentials.

Drivers of tail evolution in squamates and their implications for the fossorial origin of snakes
Abstract The axial skeleton serves as the primary structural support in all vertebrates and is subdivided into five distinct regions: cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral, and caudal. Relaxation of constraints acting on the terminal end of the axial skeleton has led to remarkable variation in caudal vertebrae number across Squamata.

Search Strategies for an Anytime Usage of the Branch and Prune Algorithm [PDF]
When applied to numerical CSPs, the branch and prune algorithm (BPA) computes a sharp covering of the solution set. The BPA is therefore impractical when the solution set is large, typically when it has a dimension larger than four or five which is often met in underconstrained problems.

Computational fluid dynamics simulations of airflow through the nasal passages of rhinolophoid bats
Abstract The nasal passages of bats that emit their echolocation call through their nostrils have adapted for sound emission as well as standard respiratory and olfactory functions. Rhinolophids, hipposiderids and rhinonycterids all use a high duty cycle (HDC) echolocation strategy.

Evaluation of different pruning solutions for superhigh density olive orchards
In the super high density olive orchards, manual pruning is the current practice used by olive growers. This option requires a large amount of labour. Although disc saw pruning machine allow high work rate, it would be necessary to evaluate the influence

ABSTRACT The detection of buried or obscured archaeological features remains a central challenge in landscape archaeology, particularly in the irrigated floodplains of Mesopotamia where levees and canals formed the basis of complex agrarian systems. This study presents a deep learning–based approach for the large‐scale, automated detection of ancient ...

Adaptive Genomic Divergence Across Altitudes in Capsella bursa‐pastoris
Genomic divergence was observed between high‐altitude and low‐altitude populations of Capsella bursa‐pastoris in China, consistent with an important role of ecological factors. Candidate adaptive loci associated with enhanced energy metabolism, photoprotection, and growth plasticity under altitudinal stress were identified.
