Development and External Validation of an Efficient Deep Learning Model for Lesion Segmentation and Subtyping of Hepatic Echinococcosis in Ultrasound Imaging

open access: yesHealth Care Science, EarlyView.
We developed a lightweight deep learning framework that integrates frequency‐ and spatial‐domain ultrasound features with segmentation‐assisted classification for hepatic echinococcosis diagnosis. The model outperformed existing state‐of‐the‐art methods in both accuracy and inference speed while requiring substantially fewer computational resources ...

Statistical strategies for pruning all the uninteresting association rules

open access: yes, 2003
We propose a general framework to describe formally the problem of capturing the intensity of implication for association rules through statistical metrics. In this framework we present properties that influence the interestingness of a rule, analyze the conditions that lead a measure to perform a perfect prune at a time,

A spatiotemporal single‐cell atlas of porcine development reveals regulatory dynamics and cellular targets of domestication

open access: yesiMeta, EarlyView.
This study presents a cross‐tissue, single‐cell/single‐nucleus transcriptomic atlas spanning from prenatal to postnatal developmental stages in pig, characterizing 83 distinct cell types from 252,033 cells. Through the construction of cross‐tissue transcriptional regulatory networks and pseudotime trajectories, we revealed that organogenesis is driven ...

Complement C3 mediates adolescent social isolation‐induced hippocampal synaptic deficits and sex‐specific emotional dysfunction

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Adolescent social isolation disrupts hippocampal function and exacerbates emotional symptoms, with sex‐specific patterns, as shown by human studies. In mice, social isolation decreased hippocampal synaptic density and calcium signaling, upregulated complement proteins, and activated complement‐mediated microglial synaptic phagocytosis.

A Dyanamic Cross-Reference Pruning Strategy For Multiple Feature Fusion at Decoder Run Time

open access: yes, 2008
Although multiple cues, such as different signal processing techniques and feature representations, have been used in speech recognition in adverse acoustic environment, how to maximally utilize the benefit of these cues is largely unsolved.

Multi‐omics biomarkers for intestinal infection and inflammation in inflammatory bowel disease: Current evidence, translational challenges, and diagnostic opportunities

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Prospective multi‐site cohorts, multi‐omics profiling, and computational analysis may help identify biomarker patterns across clinical settings in IBD and superimposed infections. With further mechanistic and clinical validation, these signals could support the development of practical multi‐analyte tools for more precise diagnosis and management ...
