Buyang Huanwu Decoction Modulates the Gut Microbiota–C/EBPβ/AEP Axis to Ameliorate Cognitive Impairment in Alzheimer's Disease Mice

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 31, Issue 6, June 2025.
Our study demonstrates that BYHWD ameliorates Alzheimer's disease pathology by modulating the gut microbiota and suppressing the C/EBPβ–AEP signaling pathway. BYHWD reverses gut dysbiosis, leading to downregulation of C/EBPβ and reduced AEP‐mediated cleavage of APP and Tau into APP N585 and Tau N368, respectively.

Calcium‐dependent protein kinase PpCDPK29‐mediated Ca2+‐ROS signal and PpHSFA2a phosphorylation regulate postharvest chilling tolerance of peach fruit

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 23, Issue 6, Page 1938-1953, June 2025.
Summary Green and chemical‐free hot water (HW) treatment can effectively reduce the chilling injury of peach fruit; however, the mechanism of inducing chilling resistance by heat treatment is still unclear. This study found that HW treatment could activate reactive oxygen species (ROS) signalling, forming ROS‐Ca2+ signalling. Furthermore, we identified
