PS-Insar data analysis: pre-seismic ground deformation in the 2009 L’Aquila earthquake region [PDF]
The accuracy of the millimetre-scale measurements made so far by the SAR systems, as well as the multi-temporal analysis methodologies, have provided impressive images of surface displacements in areas affected by strong earthquakes, and contributed to constrain the geometric and kinematic features of earthquake generating faults.

Data Assimilation of PS-InSAR Movement Measurements Applied to the Bergermeer Gas Field
Proceedings, 2013This paper reports a study on the use of satellite radar data to constrain the subsurface model parameters of the Bergermeer gas field. Using PSI (Persistent Scatterer InSAR) technology, ascending and descending data were applied in line-of-sight geometry, i.e., without first unravelling the horizontal and vertical components of the signal.

Study of urban instability phenomena in Bucharest city based on Ps-InSAR
2014 IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2014This work focuses on monitoring the ground motion and infrastructure stability in an urban environment, namely in the city of Bucharest. Bucharest is a fast developing city with the average construction rate of 8-20% new buildings with respect to the existing ones. Consequently, the civil engineering industry faced new challenges related to the need of

The Application of PS-InSAR Technology on Land Subsidence in Cangzhou Region
Advanced Materials Research, 2011Land subsidence in Cangzhou of the North China Plain, has been an ongoing problem for the past four decades (since the later 1970s). With the development of new synthetic aperture radar(SAR)sensors and interferometric synthetic aperture radar(InSAR) techniques, the application of satellite Radar data have enhanced capabilities to detect and monitor ...

PS InSAR Integrated with Geotechnical GIS: Some Examples from Southern Lombardia
2007The Oltrepo Pavese, which extends for almost 1100 km2 in Lombardia Region (Northern Italy), has a complex geological-structural setting resulting from overthrusting of different tectonic units made up mainly of clays. All these characteristics make the Oltrepo Pavese particularly vulnerable to hydrogeological risk: shallow and deep landslides in the ...
