Pseudo-Inverses in the Analysis of Variance
The normal equations in the analysis of variance with suitable side conditions give a unique set of estimates, $\tilde\beta_i$, of the parameters $\beta_i$. These estimates are unique linear forms in the actual observations. In the solutions to the normal equations they appear as linear forms in the treatment and block totals; these totals are not ...

Subadditive functions and their (pseudo-)inverses
The author is interested in nonnegative subadditive functions because of their presence in economic theories. With \(\mathbb R_+ = [0,\infty)\), \(\mathbb R^*_+ = [0,\infty]\), \(I = [0,\omega]\) or \(I = \mathbb R_+\); for an increasing and lower semi-continuous function \(g: I \to\mathbb R_+\) define the function \(\overrightarrow g: J \to\mathbb R\)

Object reconstitution using pseudo-inverse for ghost imaging
We propose a novel method for object reconstruction of ghost imaging based on Pseudo-Inverse, where the original objects are reconstructed by computing the pseudo-inverse of the matrix constituted by the row vectors of each speckle field. We conduct reconstructions for binary images and gray-scale images.

Photonics of Topological Magnetic Textures
Localized noncollinear magetic textures imprint their geometry and topology onto traversing photonic fields endowing them with orbital angular‐momentum, chirality, and magnetoelectric densities. Abstract Topological textures in magnetically ordered materials are an important case studies for fundamental research with promising applications in data ...

Hierarchical Summary Statistics Encoding Across Primary Visual and Posterior Parietal Cortices
This study shows that mouse V1 simultaneously encodes the ensemble mean and variance of motion, providing a robust summary‐statistic representation that persists despite single‐neuron variability. These signals propagate to PPC, where they are transformed into abstract category representations during decision making.
