An Integrated Pseudo-Noise Code Acquistion Processor for WCDMA, CDMA2000 and 802.11b Systems

2005 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2005
This paper presents an integrated pseudo-noise (PN) code acquisition processor (CAP) for popular WCDMA, CDMA2000 and 802.11b systems. In the near future, multi-system equipment is going to be more and more popular because of its wide support of hybrid communications.

Picture coding using pseudo-random noise

IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 1962
In order to transmit television pictures over a digital channel, it is necessary to send a binary code which represents the intensity level at each point in the picture. For good picture quality using standard PCM transmission, at least six bits are required at each sample point, since the eye is very sensitive to the small intensity steps introduced ...

A pre-crash radar sensor system based on pseudo-noise coding

2000 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (Cat. No.00CH37017), 2002
A pre-crash radar sensor system measuring closing velocity and range, working at 24 GHz is presented. The radar is based on spread spectrum modulation using a 1023 long pseudo-noise sequence at a 450 Mbps data rate. The achieved resolution of 33 cm is also suitable for object identification applications in a driving environment.

Pseudo Noise Sequence Coded Continuous Radar: A Signal Processing Algorithm

Arabian Journal for Science and Engineering, 2011
In this paper we develop a novel signal processing algorithm for continuous phase coded Doppler radar using pseudo noise (PN) sequence as the phase coding signal. We exploit the correlation side lobe suppression property of PN sequence in the detection and ranging of targets.

DSP implementation of Weil and Sidel'nikov Binary Pseudo Random Noise codes

2015 IEEE International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT), 2015
Weil and Sidel'nikov binary sequences belong to the category of Pseudo Random Noise (PRN) codes which are a binary coded sequence with certain auto and cross correlation properties. These sequences when used in GPS satellite transmission help in distinguishing different satellites that transmit on the same frequency.

Correlative tracking of pseudo-noise codes using a phase shifted reference

1994 IEEE GLOBECOM. Communications: The Global Bridge, 2002
Investigates a first-order correlation loop for tracking pseudo-noise (PN) codes. The local reference is produced by a PN sequence generator in series with a Hilbert transform filter. The tracking performance of this non-linear loop is compared with conventional early-late delay-lock loops (ELDLL).

Novel Pseudo-Noise coded chipless RFID system for clutter removal and tag detection

2015 IEEE International Conference on RFID (RFID), 2015
In this contribution a novel Frequency Coded (FC) chipless RFID system is introduced to significantly enhance the tag detection. The proposed system exploits the properties of Pseudo Noise (PN) random sequence, as a transmitted signal, to accurately estimate the Channel Impulse Response (CIR).

Accurate distance measurement with a wideband high resolution pseudo noise coded radar

2007 European Radar Conference, 2007
A wideband radar concept with a bandwidth of 3,2 GHz is investigated for automotive application. The wideband direct sequence spread spectrum concept at 24 GHz enables a high resolution with distance cells of less than 0.1 m and an accuracy in the mm-range, a high immunity against interferers and a strong channel separation.

Simultaneous use of multiple pseudo random noise codes in multistatic CW radar

Proceedings of the 2004 IEEE Radar Conference (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37509), 2004
In multistatic continuous wave radar, the choice of codes and frequencies used for transmission has a strong influence on detection and ease of parameter extraction. The paper describes the various effects of using single and multiple codes in a number of separated transmitters, either with the same or separated carrier frequencies.

New methods for enhancing fine acquisition in dual folding algorithm of long pseudo noise codes

International Journal of Communication Systems, 2017
SummaryLong code Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum is a good choice for applications where security and antispoofing ability of a spread spectrum connection is concerned. Due to long period of spreading code, acquisition is a challenge for these systems because a trade‐off between detection probability and acquisition time must be made.
