Safety and Efficacy of Pulsed Field Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation in Elderly Patients

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 1, February 2026.
Pulsed‐field ablation (PFA) was evaluated in 479 patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), 52% paroxysmal. Among 104 patients > 75 years, complication rates and 6‐ and 12‐month arrhythmia‐free survival were not significantly different from younger patients. Age did not predict recurrence. PFA appears safe and effective in elderly AF patients.

Occurrence, Definition and Risk Factors Related to Groin Wound Complications Following Open Vascular Surgeries

open access: yesInternational Wound Journal, Volume 23, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Open femoral vessel access is commonly performed in vascular surgery, but surgical site complications (SSCs) occur frequently. Stenting of a hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm rupture secondary to a celiac artery dissection

open access: yesJournal of Vascular Surgery Cases and Innovative Techniques
Hepatic artery (HA) pseudoaneurysm rupture is a rare and potentially lethal pathology. We present the case of a celiac artery dissection complicated by an HA pseudoaneurysm rupture that was treated successfully with endovascular stenting.

Left ventricular pseudoaneurysm

open access: yesJournal of the American College of Cardiology, 1998
Left ventricular (LV) pseudoaneurysms form when cardiac rupture is contained by adherent pericardium or scar tissue. Although LV pseudoaneurysms are not common, the diagnosis is difficult and they are prone to rupture. We evaluated the clinical presentation, diagnostic accuracy of imaging modalities, results of therapy and prognosis of 290 patients ...
