Ear syringing is a common procedure done for cleaning wax from the ear canal. Rupture of the pseudoaneurysm at the petrous part of the internal carotid artery (ICA) due to ear syringing is an extremely rare incidence in clinical practice.

Long‐Term Outcomes After Elective Splenectomy for Haematological Disease: A 27‐Year Single‐Centre Study

Splenectomy is a safe and effective treatment option in selected patients with haematological disease, despite declining referrals over the last 27 years in the era of targeted therapies. Outcomes are favourable when performed laparoscopically and long‐term follow‐up demonstrates sustained haematologic benefit in surviving patients.

Impact of Single Viable Hepatocellular Carcinoma ≤ 3 cm on Survival After Liver Transplantation

An Australian multi‐centre cohort study shows significantly lower 5‐year HCC‐specific mortality for those with no viable disease compared to those with a single viable tumour ≤ 3 cm, on imaging prior to transplantation. A lower AFP level and complete response on mRECIST criteria also reduced risk.
