A total of 11 ruminal strains currently assigned to Butyrivibrio fibrisolvens and Pseudobutyrivibrio xylanivorans were cultivated in two different media, rumen fluid containing M2 and short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) containing M330, and their cellular ...

Razgradnja ksilana z različnimi ksilanazami vampne bakterije Pseudobutyrivibrio xylanivorans Mz5T

Complete Genome Sequence of the Polysaccharide-Degrading Rumen Bacterium Pseudobutyrivibrio xylanivorans MA3014 Reveals an Incomplete Glycolytic Pathway [PDF]
Abstract Bacterial species belonging to the genus Pseudobutyrivibrio are important members of the rumen microbiome contributing to the degradation of complex plant polysaccharides. Pseudobutyrivibrio xylanivorans MA3014 was selected for genome sequencing to examine its ability to breakdown and utilize plant polysaccharides.

Konjugirane linolne kisline (CLA) so skupina pozicijskih in geometrijskih izomer oktadekadienojske kisline (18:2) in imajo vrsto ugodnih učinkov pri ljudeh in ûivalih. Glavni tvorci CLA so vampne bakterije, predvsem iz rodu Butyrivibrio.

We isolated and identified functional groups of bacteria in the rumen of Creole goats involved in ruminal fermentation of native forage shrubs. The functional bacterial groups were evaluated by comparing the total viable, total anaerobic, cellulolytic, hemicellulolytic, and amylolytic bacterial counts in the samples taken from fistulated goats fed ...

Identification of GH10 xylanases in strains 2 and Mz5 of Pseudobutyrivibrio xylanivorans
Genes encoding glycosyl hydrolase family 11 (GH11) xylanases and xylanases have been identified from Pseudobutyrivibrio xylanivorans. In contrast, little is known about the diversity and distribution of the GH10 xylanase in strains of P. xylanivorans. Xylanase and associated activities of P.

A newly developed bacteriocin like substance to replace monensin in diets of lactating ewes
Abstract The aim of the present experiment was to evaluate the effect of feeding a newly produced bacteriocin‐like substance (BLS) as a replacement for monensin in the diets of lactating ewes. In Experiment 1, the effects of BLS or monensin at 0.5, 1, 1.5, and 2 g/kg diet on in vitro ruminal fermentation were compared.

Butyrivibrio hungatei sp. nov. and Pseudobutyrivibrio xylanivorans sp. nov., butyrate-producing bacteria from the rumen [PDF]
Two novel Gram-negative, anaerobic, non-spore-forming, butyrate-producing bacterial species, strains Mz 5T and JK 615T, were isolated from the rumen fluid of cow and sheep. Both strains were curved rods that were motile by means of single polar or subpolar flagellum and common in the rumen microbial ecosystem.
