Pseudomonas anatoliensis sp. nov and Pseudomonas iridis sp. nov. isolated from fish [PDF]

open access: yesSystematic and Applied Microbiology, 2021
In a study carried out between 2013 and 2018 in fish farms in Turkey, several putative novel species were isolated. The 16S rRNA nucleotide sequences of fourteen strains of Gram-negative rods, which were isolated from asymptomatic and symptomatic rainbow trouts (Onchorhynchus mykiss), placed them under the genus Pseudomonas.

Psychrophilic pseudomonads from Antarctica: Pseudomonas antarctica sp. nov., Pseudomonas meridiana sp. nov. and Pseudomonas proteolytica sp. nov. [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2004
Thirty-one bacteria that belonged to the genusPseudomonaswere isolated from cyanobacterial mat samples that were collected from various water bodies in Antarctica. All 31 isolates were psychrophilic; they could be divided into three groups, based on their protein profiles.

Harnessing bacterial strain from rhizosphere to develop indigenous PGPR consortium for enhancing lobia (Vigna unguiculata) production

open access: yesHeliyon, 2023
The rhizosphere microbes play a key role in plant nutrition and health. However, the interaction of beneficial microbes and Vigna unguiculata (lobia) production remains poorly understood.

Pseudomonas koreensis sp. nov., Pseudomonas umsongensis sp. nov. and Pseudomonas jinjuensis sp. nov., novel species from farm soils in Korea [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2003
Among Pseudomonas strains isolated from Korean agricultural soils, four strains (Ps 9-14 group: Ps 1-2, Ps 1-10, Ps 5-5 and Ps 9-14T) from the Suwon, Goesan and Samchok regions, three strains (Ps 3-10 group: Ps 2-22, Ps 3-1 and Ps 3-10T) from Umsong Region and four strains (Pss 26 group: Pss 14, Pss 25, Pss 26T and Pss 27) from Jinju Region were ...

Deciphering a survival strategy during the interspecific competition between Bacillus cereus MSM-S1 and Pseudomonas sp. MSM-M1 [PDF]

open access: yesRoyal Society Open Science, 2016
Interspecific competition in bacteria governs colony growth dynamics and pattern formation. Here, we demonstrate an interesting phenomenon of interspecific competition between Bacillus cereus MSM-S1 and Pseudomonas sp.

Pseudomonas psychrotolerans sp. nov. [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2004
Three yellow-pigmented, Gram-negative, rod-shaped, non-spore-forming bacterial strains, C36T, C37 and C39, were isolated in the Medical Clinic for Small Animals and Ungulates at the University for Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Austria. On the basis of 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity, strain C36Twas shown to belong to the genusPseudomonas;Pseudomonas

Pseudomonas piscium sp. nov., Pseudomonas pisciculturae sp. nov., Pseudomonas mucoides sp. nov. and Pseudomonas neuropathica sp. nov. isolated from rainbow trout

open access: yesInternational Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2019
Six Gram negative, motile bacteria were isolated from rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). The 16S rRNA sequence similarity values grouped them in thePseudomonas mandelii(strains P49, P50T, 154aTand P154b),Pseudomonas fluorescens(strain P115T) andPseudomonas koreensis(strain P155T) phylogenetic subgroups in the genusPseudomonas.

Pseudomonas knackmussii sp. nov. [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2007
The taxonomic position of Pseudomonas sp. B13T, isolated as a 3-chlorobenzoate-degrading organism and used for several groundbreaking studies on the enzymology and genetics of the degradative pathway for haloaromatic compounds, was studied in detail. The previously performed physiological studies, the detection of ubiquinone Q-9, the polyamine pattern ...

Draft Genome of Pseudomonas sp. Strain 11/12A, Isolated from Lake Washington Sediment. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We announce here the genome sequencing of Pseudomonas sp. strain 11/12A from Lake Washington sediment. From the genome content, a versatile lifestyle is predicted but not one of bona fide methylotrophy.
