[Pseudophakic cystoid macular edema].
Der Ophthalmologe : Zeitschrift der Deutschen Ophthalmologischen Gesellschaft, 2020Pseudophakic cystoid macular edema (PCME) is still one of the most frequent causes of loss of vision after cataract surgery. Clinical PCME occurs after initial improvement of vision 2-10 weeks after surgery in 1-2% with secondary vision loss and biomicroscopically visible macular cysts.

Pars Plana Vitrectomy for Chronic Pseudophakic Cystoid Macular Edema
Retina, 1995We determined the efficacy of pars plana vitrectomy in a series of patients with chronic pseudophakic cystoid macular edema.Clinical records were reviewed on 24 consecutive patients who underwent pars plana vitrectomy in one eye for chronic pseudophakic cystoid macular edema. All 24 patients had failed to improve on medical therapy and had preoperative

Pseudophakic cystoid macular edema: ketorolac alone vs. ketorolac plus prednisolone
Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2004Pseudophakic cystoid macular edema (CME) following phacoemulsification is the most common complication after cataract surgery. Treatment focuses on the reduction of inflammation with topical use of both steroids and NSAIDS. The latter have been shown to be of benefit in chronic CME, but topical NSAID and steroid treatment has only recently been shown ...

Rho-kinase inhibitors in pseudophakic cystoid macular edema with secondary glaucoma
Indian Journal of Ophthalmology - Case Reports, 2023Pseudophakic cystoid macular edema (PCME) is predominantly a self-limiting entity that can occasionally result in long-term visual deterioration. Rho-kinase (ROCK) inhibitors are therapeutic agents that have been successfully used for intraocular ...
