Intravaginal Progesterone Application as an Efficient and Reproducible Tool for Synchronizing the Mouse Estrous Cycle. [PDF]

open access: yesReprod Med Biol
ABSTRACT Purpose The synchronization of the estrous cycle is crucial for optimizing reproductive procedures and improving experimental consistency in female mice. Traditional progesterone (P4) administration methods, such as oral or subcutaneous routes, have limitations including invasiveness and variable efficacy.

Development, Live Birth and Fertility in Mouse Oocytes Penetrated by Spermatids Exposed to the HDAC Inhibitor Scriptaid. [PDF]

open access: yesReprod Med Biol
ABSTRACT Purpose In mouse embryos derived from round spermatid injection (ROSI), low developmental potential due to abnormal histone modification is improved by histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors. However, some studies suggest that the use of such inhibitors leads to the birth of hypomorphic offspring.

Exogenous Lactogenic Signaling Stimulates Beta Cell Replication In Vivo and In Vitro

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2022
As patients recently diagnosed with T1D and patients with T2D have residual beta cell mass, there is considerable effort in beta cell biology to understand the mechanisms that drive beta cell regeneration as a potential cellular therapy for expanding ...

Embryo-Derived Cathepsin B Promotes Implantation and Decidualization by Activating Pyroptosis. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh)
The schematic view shows that embryo‐derived CTSB promotes implantation and decidualization by activating pyroptosis. Blastocyst‐derived CTSB activates NLRP3‐Caspase 1 to cleave GSDMD and cut pro‐IL‐1β/pro‐IL18 to form mature IL‐1β/IL‐18. The cleaved GSDMD‐N perforates the plasma membrane to release mature IL‐1β/IL‐18.

Early diagnosis of pseudopregnancy in goats by ultrasonography and response to treatment using cloprostenol sodium [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, 2023
Pseudopregnancy is a state of temporary infertility in goats characterised by the accumulation of sterile fluid in the uterus in the absence of a foetus with persistent corpus luteum.

Successful pseudopregnancy of rats by short period artificial stimulation using sonic vibration

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
Psuedopregnancy for embryo transfer (ET) is usually induced in rats by mating with vasectomized males. Previously, we successfully induced pseudopregnancy using sonic vibration instead (Easy-ET method).

Perubahan Morfologi dan Morfometri Saluran Reproduksi Kelinci Lokal Bunting Semu Hasil Induksi Menggunakan GnRH

open access: yesJurnal Agripet, 2023

Incidence of pregnancy loss and characterization of fetal development in red pandas

open access: yesReproduction and Fertility, 2021
Previous reports indicate that red pandas (Ailurus fulgens styani) may experience fetal loss during gestation; however, neither the rate nor timing of pregnancy failure has been described in this species.

Use of urinary 13,14, dihydro-15-keto-prostaglandin F2α (PGFM) concentrations to diagnose pregnancy and predict parturition in the giant panda (Ailuropoda melanolecua). [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
Pregnancy determination is difficult in the giant panda (Ailuropoda melanolecua), representing a challenge for ex situ conservation efforts. Research in other species experiencing pseudopregnancy indicates that urinary/fecal concentrations of 13,14 ...
