Physical Review C, 2010 We derive a novel model-independent result for the pion susceptibility in QCD via the isovector-pseudoscalar vacuum polarisation. In the neighbourhood of the chiral-limit, the pion susceptibility can be expressed as a sum of two independent terms. The first expresses the pion-pole contribution.

The Isgur-Wise function: A lattice determination from pseudoscalar → pseudoscalar form factors [PDF]
Nuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 1994 Form factors for pseudoscalar --> pseudoscalar decays of heavy-light mesons are found in quenched lattice QCD with heavy-quark masses in the range of approximately 1-2 GeV. The Isgur-Wise function, $ ( )$, is extracted from these form factors. Results are in good agreement with $ ( )$ derived from CLEO measurements for B --> D*.
