Spatiotemporal oscillations of Notch1, Dll1 and NICD are coordinated across the mouse PSM
During somitogenesis, epithelial somites form from the pre-somitic mesoderm (PSM) in a periodic manner. This periodicity is regulated by a molecular oscillator, known as the ‘segmentation clock’, that is characterised by an oscillatory pattern of gene ...

This work presents a co‐assembled monolayer, Cys‐S‐2PACz, constructed via sequential deposition. The size‐complementary pairing and competitive anchoring between Cys and S‐2PACz enable dense and highly ordered molecular packing. Meanwhile, the synergistic passivation from the methylthio and thiol groups effectively suppresses interfacial recombination,

Crowding Out Public Service Motivation [PDF]
Employing workers with Public Service Motivation (PSM) has been proposed as a means of improving performance in the public sector. There is, however, no conclusive evidence showing PSM among individuals.

Gut bacteria responding to dietary change encode sialidases that exhibit preference for red meat-associated carbohydrates. [PDF]
Dietary habits have been associated with alterations of the human gut resident microorganisms contributing to obesity, diabetes and cancer1. In Western diets, red meat is a frequently eaten food2, but long-term consumption has been associated with ...

This article examines the use of performance information by public managers. It conceptualizes purposeful data use as a type of extra-role behaviour which requires additional effort on the part of the managers and which is not extrinsically rewarded. The article sheds light on one potential antecedent of performance information use – the motivation of ...

Tunable Sound Absorption via Evanescent‐Wave Coupling in Asymmetric Bilayer Metasurfaces
Tunable sound absorption is realized through a bilayer metasurface system governed by evanescent‐wave coupling. This work demonstrates that such evanescent‐wave coupling provides a controllable scattering channel that destructively interferes with the specular reflection.

PSM Education and Training: Turkey Case
In parallel to rapidly growing industrialization, the efforts for improvement of Process Control, Process Safety and Process Safety Management (PSM) have also been accelerated all over the world. Studies for preventing all undesired incidents and keeping them under control are dealt within PSM context and the studies within PSM have just recently ...

Reprogrammable Phase‐Transition Composites for Adaptive Dynamic Shape Morphing
This paper reports a bio‐inspired reprogrammable phase‐transition composites that uses the stiffness change induced by reversible solid‐liquid phase transition to program and regulate the material deformation actuated by reversible liquid‐vapor phase transition, thereby achieving adaptive dynamic deformation in a controllable manner, and enabling ...
