Hybrid Osprey‐Salp Swarm Optimization Algorithm for Single and Multiobjective Optimal Power Flow in Smart Grids With Renewable Energy Integration

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
The proposed hybrid osprey‐salp swarm optimization algorithm addresses optimal power flow (OPF) problems in smart grids incorporating solar, hydro, and thermal generators. The algorithm is validated on Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 30‐, 57‐, and 118‐bus test systems across five single and multiobjective OPF scenarios.

A Rapid Post‐Disaster Restoration Method for Networked Microgrids Based on Adaptive Quantum Particle Swarm Optimization

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
To enhance the power restoration speed of networked microgrids (NMGs) after extreme natural disasters and reduce the power outage of the system, this paper proposes a rapid post‐disaster restoration method for NMGs based co‐optimization of fault repair and load restoration.

Optimization of SMES and TCSC using particle swarm optimization for oscillation mitigation in a multi machines power system

open access: yesJournal of Mechatronics, Electrical Power, and Vehicular Technology, 2017
Due to the uncertainty of load demand, the stability of power system becomes more insecure. Small signal stability or low-frequency oscillation is one of stability issues which correspond to power transmission between interconnected power systems.

Comparative study of ANN and ANFIS prediction models for thermal error compensation on CNC machine tools

open access: yes, 2013
Thermal errors can have significant effects on CNC machine tool accuracy. The errors usually come from thermal deformations of the machine elements created by heat sources within the machine structure or from ambient change.
