The mitochondrial genomes of the barklice, Lepinotus reticulatus and Dorypteryx domestica (Psocodea: Trogiomorpha): Insight into phylogeny of the order Psocodea [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2018
The order Psocodea which has incorporated the two former orders Psocoptera (barklice and booklice) and Phthiraptera (parasitic lice) attracts much attention for its unusual mitochondrial (mt) genome rearrangements. Available phylogenetic analysis for Psocodea is subjected to partial taxa and a complete one is needed.

New species of Myopsocidae (Insecta: Psocodea: “Psocoptera”) from Colombia

Zootaxa, 2023
To broaden the knowledge of the diversity of Myopsocidae (Psocomorpha: Psocetae) in the neotropical region, a review of specimens collected in the last 12 years by the Entomological Research Group (GIE) was carried out. Twenty-six species belonging to the genera Lichenomima and Myopsocus were found, of which 22 are new to science and are here described

Phylogeny and classification of the Psocodea, with particular reference to the lice (Psocodea: Phthiraptera)

Systematic Entomology, 1985
ABSTRACT. Apomorphies that have been proposed for the Psocodea, Psocoptera, Phthiraptera and superfamilial groups within the Phthiraptera are enumerated and evaluated. The Psocodea and Phthiraptera are considered to be holophyletic, but the sister‐group of the Phthiraptera lies within the Psocoptera.
